Matt Matsumoto serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Realty Investments, Inc., where he leads the firm’s nationwide investment strategy. With more than 25 years of distinguished experience in real estate development, both internationally and domestically, Matt has worked across a broad spectrum of asset classes, including residential, office, commercial, and logistics.

Matt currently leverages his deep industry expertise and extensive global network to drive the development of institutional-grade projects in multifamily, student housing, medical office, industrial, and data centers across the United States.

Before joining Diamond Realty Investments, Matt was the founding CEO of MC Urban Development Vietnam Co., Ltd., where he led the company through rapid growth over four years, building a portfolio of approximately $1 billion in assets and establishing the firm as a leading investment company in Vietnam.

In 2013, he established the Logistics Development Department in Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. transforming what was then a property management company for commercial facilities, into a full-scale real estate development company. Under his leadership, the department became a key contributor to Mitsubishi Corporation’s overall revenue.

Earlier in his career at Mitsubishi Corporation, Matt served as Project Manager and pioneered a new business model integrating warehouse space with robotic systems. This innovative initiative laid the groundwork for the creation of Gaussy Inc., a company poised to transform and support Japan’s logistics industry.

Matt earned a B.A. in Civil Engineering from Hokkaido University.
